Donor Campaign:
At this time, there are two ways that we inform people and solicit donations for the SHS Scholarships. They are email and reunions.
• Email - We ask you to contact your friends, family, classmates and faculty members by email and mail. Tell them about the SHS Scholarships and refer them to our web site with a link. Send them copies of our Donor Forms. Ask them to contribute each year for the next five years, 2008 thru 2013.
• Reunions - We are constantly looking for Reunion groups from Springfield High School, Springfield North High School and Springfield South High School. Please contact us when you learn about reunions. We request that reunion committees: [1] email our scholarship information to your classmates, [2] add a copy of our Donor Form to the information packages that are mailed out. We also ask that reunion committees [3] make a brief statement at the reunion about this scholarship program and [4] make copies of the Donor Form available for them to take home. In fact, other fundraising ideas that dedicated individuals or classes might like to start as a project include:
Awards dinner to honor recipients
Annual solicitation of donations by Springfield graduates at your workplace
Walk-A-Thon
Expand the email campaign
Bequests from SHS students and others
Annual golf tournament
Big Annual Flea Market – joyous junque
Develop a 2” x 2” car bumper or window decal to indicate that you gave while spreading the word
Scholarship Information Tables at all football, basketball, volleyball and soccer games
Ask local businesses to distribute SHS Scholarships information to their employees
Ask local business to add an SHS Scholarship Donation form to their newspaper advertisements
Other suggestions are welcomed. We will post these sanctioned activities and events on the News section at www.SHSscholarships.com
